Best 2018 Kids' Concert Series

There's no shortage of kids' music taking place all over the Chicagoland area this summer. We've rounded up some of the best summer concert series that feature the best local kids' performers. Many of these shows are free, or low cost! So grab your dancing shoes, and perhaps your picnic blanket, and check out these great summer shows.


Toddlers, Tunes and Turtles
Old Town School of Folk Music at Various Park Locations

Join Old Town School of Folk Music all summer long as we happily partner once again with the Chicago Park District to provide live musical entertainment for children and families at Toddlers, Tunes and Turtles events all over the city! All performances 6:00 - 6:45 PM. Free.

Dancin Sprouts Concerts
Chicago Botanic Garden, 1000 Lake Cook Road, Glencoe
Wednesdays June 6 - August 29, 5:30-7:30pm
Dancin' Sprouts will be held in the Rose Garden this year, with free musical entertainment for kids. Bring the whole family and enjoy live music in this idyllic summer setting. Concerts are from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. Free; parking $30 for non-members.

Eat to the Beat Kids Concerts

Wednesdays July 11 - August 1, 11:30-12:30pm
Join your playmates for lunch and fun at the Jewett Park Pavilion for our weekly lunch concerts in the park! These concerts are Wednesdays from 11:30 am – 12:30 pm. Bring a picnic lunch, listen to music and play in the park. These lunchtime concerts are FREE!

Children's Lunch Hour Entertainment
Naperville Riverwalk, Jackson Avenue and Webster Street and Frontier Park, 3415 Book Road, Naperville
Tuesdays June 12 - July 24 - No concert on July 3. 11:30am
Pack a lunch, bring sunglasses and an umbrella, then join the fun on Tuesday afternoons with a variety of exciting performances geared toward the young and young-at-heart. All shows begin at 11:30 a.m. and last approximately 45 minutes. Free.

Music at the Patio

Experience the best in local music, beer and food in the landmark setting of the Patio at Café Brauer, located at the zoo's picturesque Nature Boardwalk. Each week different local musicians from the Chicago area perform free acoustic sets, music is curated by the Old Town School of Folk Music.

Rockin' in the Park
Parkway Bank Park, 5501 Park Place, Rosemont
Thursdays May 31 - August 30, 7-10pm
Rosemont’s Parkway Bank Park entertainment district will celebrate the summer season with the return of the “Rockin’ in the Park” free summer concert series. The weekly series is scheduled to begin Sunday, May 27 with a special Memorial Day cookout and live concert event beginning at 3 p.m. Free concerts will continue on Thursday evenings from May 31 through August 30, featuring music by classic cover bands, food and beverage tents on the park’s great lawn and a musical fireworks display after every show.

Join us for family friendly music and entertainment every Sunday, June 10 through August 19. Summer Concerts in Scoville Park are FREE and begin at 5:30. In the event of inclement weather or technical difficulties, concerts may start late but will not run past 7:30 pm.
