If you're not sure about the "fright" factor of a particular Haunted House, please call ahead of time to make sure you know what you're getting your little ones into!
Check back often for more listings. Our Halloween Zone goes online in mid-September before many of the Haunted Houses have finalized their 2015 information, so we'll keep adding more as the information becomes available!

Bengston's Haunted Barn and Fun Barn
13341 West 151st Street, Homer Glen
September 26th - November 1st
Bengston's offers two options for kids. First, the Haunted Barn for older kids offers thrills and chills as they wander through a scary and completely automated barn. The Haunted Barn is rated (PG13). No one under the age of 12 is admitted without being accompanied by an adult, due to content and scare factor. For the littler ones, or those who prefer not to be scared, they can have fun and take a leisurely stroll through the amusing, friendly Fun Barn.
Admission: Haunted Barn and Fun Barn are included with general admission. M-Th $9.99, Fri/Sat/Sun and Columbus Day $14.99, 2 and under free.
Hours: Daily 10am - 8pm
Ages: Fun Barn is for all ages, the Haunted Barn is for the kids who are ready for a scare and is rated (PG13) - under 12 only admitted with adult.
Goebbert's Pumpkin Farm Haunted House - Hampshire

Take a walk through this Haunted House and experience twist and turns, and be ready for some thrills and chills. This haunted house is appropriate for school aged children.
Admission: Monday - Friday $12; Saturday, Sunday and Columbus Day $15. 2 and under free. Haunted House included with admission.
Hours: Daily 9am - 6pm, Halloween 9am-3pm

Goebbert's Pumpkin Farm Haunted House - South Barrington

Part of their larger Fall Festival, this 12 room Haunted House is designed for school age children - but make no mistake, it’s scary — so be ready.

Sonny Acres Farm Spook Shed

Mid-September - October
The Spook Shed is intended for smaller kids who don't need a big scare to get the hair to stand up on end. The Spook Shed is completely automated, with no actors jumping out for scares.
Admission: 2 attraction tickets ($2)
Hours: Spook Shed open daily - 10 a.m. - 6 p.m., weekends in October 10 a.m. to 9:40 p.m.

Psychosis Haunted House Kids' Matinee
300 Lake Street, Elgin
October 1-4, 8-11, 15-18, 22-25, 28-31. Kids' Matinees October 10, 11, 24, 25.
This super scary haunted house has special Kids' Matinees on October 10-11 and 24-25 from 1pm - 3pm. During the Kids Matinees, we do a low-scare walkthrough with minimal blood and gore on our actors. Patrons are encouraged to bring flashlights. We will give away candy at the end!
Admission: Kids' Matiness $7
Hours: 1pm - 3pm
Ages: Recommended for ages 13 and up. All ages for matinee.

Featuring a "Lights On" Haunted House for the little ones on October 17 and 24 from 11:30am-2pm. Guests will wind their way through a maze of creepy rooms, featuring crazed butchers, chainsaw maniacs, and ghoulish monsters. Around every dark corner will lurk a new horror- making this a Halloween season you will not soon forget.
Hours: 7-10pm, "Lights On" is 11:30am-2pm on October 18 and 25 only.
Admission: $10 per person. The "Lights On" is $3/Child, $2/Adult.
Ages: Regular haunts recommended for ages 10 and up.
Village of Screamfield
Plainfield Police Department, 14200 Coil Plus Drive, Plainfield
Full Scare: October 16, 17, 18, 23, 24 and 25. Family Friendly Haunts October 17 and 24 from 2-5pm.
This haunted house offers kid-friendly hauntings on October 17 and 24 from 2-5pm. The family friendly haunt is an all ages events, and your bravest little ones are safe in our village as none of our scary monsters come out until 6pm. The fun includes trick or treating in the haunt, not-too-scary games, face painting, games and costume prizes, and on Oct 17 only, hayrack rides. Kids may catch Mayor Scream wandering around during these times, but he'll be on his best, kid-friendly behavior.
Admission: Full haunt $10, kid-friendly haunt $5.00 per person, kids 4 and under free.
Hours: Full Haunts 6-10pm; Family Friendly Haunts 2-5pm.
