Celebrate Dr. Martin Luther King Day at Brookfield Zoo, admission is FREE. Choral celebration by the John F. Kennedy High School Advanced Choir

A complete showing of his iconic “I have a Dream” speech. On August 28, 1963, Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. shared his dream with a large crowd in front of the Lincoln Memorial in Washington D.C. After viewing his speech in it is entirety, you are encouraged to reflect on and share your dream by creating a Tibetan prayer flag that will be joined with others’ dreams to be “blown by the wind to spread good will and compassion”. Traditionally, prayer flags are used to promote peace, compassion, strength, and wisdom.
