The center’s program focuses on intensive intervention that is specifically tailored for children under the age of 6. The goal is to provide them with the necessary building blocks to prepare them for learning in their natural educational environment. The majority of the supervisory staff are dually credentialed in behavior analysis and child development. The center provides individualized one on one learning opportunities, in addition to learning in a small group setting with other peers. With therapy conducted at the center, children can participate in a variety of activities in a structured setting. The personalized therapy prepares them as they enroll in their home schools.
Since 2007, ASPB Therapy Pathways, a local agency, has been working with clients with autism and developmental disabilities by offering services such as Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) and other in-home programming.
During the free event, guests can talk with staff, visit the center’s surroundings, enjoy refreshments and meet other families. Lisa J. Becker, a local children’s book author, will introduce the 27 colorful tenants in her new work “Azure House.” Ten lucky winners will win an autographed copy of the book and a board game.
