Banana Split Sundae Cookie
Here's a truly decadent treat that the whole family will enjoy.
- 1 cup margarine
- 1 cup packed light brown sugar
- 1 ½ cups mashed ripe bananas (about 4 medium)
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 2 eggs
- 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
- 2 ½ cups rolled oats
- 2 cups flour
- ¼ teaspoon salt
- 1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
Directions:
- Beat margarine and sugar in a bowl until creamy.
- Add bananas, egg, and vanilla, beating well.
- Mix together in a bowl: oats flour, baking soda, salt, and chocolate chips.
- Add to banana mixture. Mix well.
- Drop by ¼ cupfuls onto ungreased cookie sheet, 3 " apart. Spread dough into 3 ½" circles.
- Bake at 350 degrees 14 - 16 minutes until edges are light golden.
- Cool 1 minute on cookie sheet. Remove to wire rack to cool.
- Store loosely covered at room temperature.
- Top with ice-cream and topping. Makes about 2 dozen.
