Ginger Snap Cookies

These ginger snap cookies are a light treat for the Holidays.
  • ¾ cup butter flavored shortening
  • 1 egg
  • 1 cup brown sugar
  • ¼ cup molasses, mild flavor
  • ¼ teaspoon salt
  • 2 ¼ cups flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • ½ teaspoon cloves
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1 teaspoon ginger
Mix all and roll into balls the size of a walnut. Roll in sugar. Bake 10-12 minutes at 350 degrees. Cool on rack. Freezes well.
