Easy Beefy Tacos

  • 12 Hard Taco Shells in a box
  • 1 pound ground round or beef
  • Bottle taco seasoning if desired
  • Shredded Cheddar cheese
  • Bottle of Taco or Chili Sauce for extra flavor
  • McCormick's or Lawry's Taco
  • Mild Seasoning Mix-1.5 oz.
  • ¾ cup water
  • Shredded lettuce
Directions:
  1. Brown beef in pan. Drain fat.
  2. Add Taco seasoning mix and water.
  3. Bring to a boil; reduce heat and simmer 5 minutes, stirring occasionally.
  4. Spoon into warmed taco shells.
  5. Top with shredded cheddar cheese and extra taco sauce.
Makes 6 servings of 2 tacos each.

Variation: Saute chopped onions and green pepper. Remove from pan. Then brown the beef and later add the vegetables. Add ½ teaspoon powdered cumin spice and 1 teaspoon chili powder.
