WEEK-LONG SUMMER CAMPS
June 5 - September 1
Ages 3 ½ years - Teen
At Lillstreet Art Center, young artists can design their own creative summer in the arts of ceramics, photography, jewelry, drawing, printmaking, textiles , and so much more. We have over 50 different camps to choose from including specialty camps - there's something for artists of every age and skill level.
Here are some of the camps we offer this summer:
It's a zoo in here! Learn to draw, sculpt and create your very own animals from clay studying from images and letting your imagination run wild.
PUPPETS, STORIES & SETS
Learn to create marionettes and puppets of clay, fabric, plaster gauze and more. Next, we'll make the stage, backdrops, props and of course the story. At the end of the week, we'll set the stage and your puppets will put on a show!
MAKE YOUR OWN VIDEO GAME
Using Scratch, a graphical programming language designed by MIT, learn to construct your own animations, games and stories. We'll share our interactive projects using drag and drop blocks. Through an online account, our projects will be accessible even after camp ends.
Do you have drawings or designs that would look great on a T-shirt? You'll develop your own individual logos, drawings and clever sayings and screen print your own one-of-a-kind gear.
Can't find that perfect outfit that sets you apart from the rest? Learn to sew, design and repurpose outfits from clothes you already have or from thrift-store finds. This week ends with a fashion show!
FORGE, FIRE & FEAST
Hungry for some fun? This camp combines ceramics and metalsmithing. You'll hand build your own bowls and plates out of slabs of clay. Then you'll learn how to cut and shape forks, knives and spoons. On Friday, we feast!
EXTENDED CARE & AFTER CARE
Lillstreet offers a variety of options to ensure your artist gets an experience that coordinates with your schedule. Lillstreet offers early morning drop off, aftercare and afternoon add-ons. Adult classes and camps are also available while the kids are in camp or class.
