Chicago Detours is offering the "1893 World's Fair Tour for Families" daily during Spring Break, Monday April 15 through Saturday, April 20, at 11am. This 2-hour, mostly indoor downtown walking tour welcomes guests of all ages to learn how and why the 1893 World's Fair captures imaginations more than any other event in Chicago's history. This tour is a fun and educational experience great for both kids ages 6 and up and their accompanying parents. The professional tour guide will share fascinating stories from the World's Fair, such as its connection to the song, “America the Beautiful.” Guests will play interactive educational games like a visual scavenger hunt in a historic building. Prizes are included, too! Kids particularly enjoy the use of shared iPads, which show historic images that illuminate life in the late 19th century.
